Hand woven wool rug, half red and half orangey-yellow with very thin black stripes. A flat weave rug, using a pedal loom in the town of Teotitlán del Valle. All the colours have been hand dyed using local natural ingredients.
This piece has been dyed using a local bug called Cochinilla, Mexican Marigold flowers, and walnut shells.
Colour: red, orange/yellow, black. (please note the true colour of the yellow does not photograph identically, in person it appears orange, but from afar the rug appears yellow)
Size: Approx. 80 cm x 150 cm
*Spot clean, hang to dry in the sun.
