Monkey Temple Art Print

from €90.00

Swayambhunath is an ancient religious complex dedicated to Buddhism atop a hill in the Kathmandu Valley in Nepal called the Monkey Temple. The legend behind is that a group of monkeys lived in the northwest part of the Swayambhunath temple complex for generations. The meaning of Swayambhu is used to describe a self-manifested image of a deity, which was not made by human hands, but instead is naturally arisen, or generated by nature. It literally means “self-existent one”. The monkey as a spirit totem, can deliver positive rewards such as balance and control throughout life.
