Small spotted clay plate, hand made in the town of Atzompa, Oaxaca. These can also be used as a coasters.
Rubbed with a round precious stone before firing it in the kiln, this allows the clay to become less porous, with a much smoother final texture. Each piece is rubbed vigorously for up to 40 minutes.
